HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Appointments may be made by telephone or personally at the reception desk. The practice operates 'on the day' appointments whereby if you require an appointment for that day you should call the surgery after 8.30am. The practice also operates a pre-bookable system whereby you can book an appointment to see a GP 14 days in advance. Patients are entitled to see the doctor of their choice, if available.

Urgent appointments are available on a daily basis. Please note that these are for urgent medical conditions that cannot wait for routine assessment. If you feel you have a serious medical condition that requires same-day assessment please telephone 0141 531 9050 and a doctor or nurse will either speak to you or return your call to discuss the problem, offering an appointment if deemed appropriate.

Please be aware that for urgent appointments it may not be possible to see the doctor of your choice.

It is inappropriate to use emergency appointments for

- review of chronic conditions

- routine medical certificates ("panel lines")

- repeat prescriptions

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Please phone as early as possible (before 10.00am) if you require a doctor to visit at home. Please be aware that if the doctor feels a house call is inappropriate you may be asked to attend the health centre.

Home visits are at the doctors' discretion.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?

Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made
:

- by telephoning 0141 531 9058 between 11.00am - 2.00pm

- by post (please include s.a.e.)

- by posting your list in the box next to the reception desk (no need to queue)

Prescription requests will be available 48 hours later.

Prescriptions will not be telephoned to outlying chemists, but can be collected by the health centre pharmacy.

HOW DO I...
REGISTER WITH THE PRACTICE ?

Patients can register with the practice in person at the surgery. Acceptance on to the practice list is at the discretion of the GP.
